About the Villa
Azatis Luxury Villa is a contemporary hillside retreat in Daratso, just outside Chania, created for guests who want privacy, space and long relaxed days around their own heated pool. Set on a single level, it hosts up to 14 guests in seven ensuite bedrooms, combining hotel-style comfort with the easy feeling of a private home.
Large windows fill the interiors with light and frame views of the Cretan Sea, the nearby villages and the White Mountains, while outside a generous pool with hydromassage corner, a children’s section, sun loungers, shaded terraces and gardens with olive and fruit trees invite you to live outdoors from morning till night. Indoors, the style is minimal and warm, with a bright living room, smart TV, sound system, dining area and fully equipped kitchen supported by central cooling, heating and fast WiFi, making Azatis an ideal base for family holidays, celebrations or a luxury escape with friends in Chania.
Our Story
Azatis started as a private family hideaway, built by its owner, Theodoros Raissakis, as a place to bring loved ones together, celebrate special moments and slow down in nature above Daratso.
Over time the house grew into a generous single-level home with a large pool, wide terraces and gardens full of olive and fruit trees, always designed for long outdoor meals, children playing and late-night talks by the fire. When the family decided to open the villa to guests, it was carefully updated rather than completely transformed, keeping its warm, lived-in character while adding COCO-MAT mattresses, modern ensuite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and upgraded systems for comfort in every season.
Today Azatis remains a true home that now welcomes families and friends from around the world who want to experience Crete in a relaxed, personal and authentic way.

A dedicated crew looks after the villa with regular pool and garden care, meticulous cleaning and ongoing maintenance, while we also try to keep our footprint lighter by using resources responsibly and working with local partners.
